headphones - the best headphones ev. er. ever. i know they are expensive (i bought them from an active.com swaggle for half), but if i would have known then how much i love them now, i would have bought 20 pairs. or at least a dozen. really.

have you ever been fitted for running shoes before? i haven't. until yesterday. it was a neat experience, taking about 30 minutes. these are the shoes that were recommended.



and because i am a dork, i couldn't resist a new pair of socks. designed for the right and left foot. i love them!

let's talk heart rate monitors

i have a polar ft4. i like it and find it very helpful. mine cost around $100 and i got it at runner's roost.

i am sure i could have gotten something cheaper. i am sure i could have gotten something with all the bells and whistles. the ft4 keeps track of my heart rate and calories burnt. although it would have been nice if it also kept track of distance, it does what i need. straight forward and simple.

do you have one or are you planning on getting one?
